What makes a photo?

I have a question for everyone that I get alot it seems like nonstop people are asking me what makes a photo? In my opinion this a subjective question with many different answers so im going to give you my answer. In my opinion a good photo is one that you see it and you need no words to describe it like you can look at it for 2 seconds and already have a feeling about it. My favorite photos are ones that are self explanitory. They invoke any emotion from happy to sad. Id like to hear what your views on the question. I invite your comments.
